Your switches and routers are connected to the network using the Cisco Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) Gigabit Interface Converter industry standard (Figure 1). Connectivity of the hot-swappable input/output device by plugging in to a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot. Several Cisco products utilize both optical and copper types that may be mixed port for port in 1000BASE-T, 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX/LH, 1000BASE-EX, 1000BASE-ZX, or 1000BASE-BX10-D/U.
